Dr Thierry Biot is the Director and unique Consultant of Cantum Biosciences Ltd, established in 2011 after 20 years of vaccine development and regulatory affairs experience gained in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. This small independent structure without overheads ensures your access to the highest quality expertise, without intermediaries or work delegation.
Thierry's expertise covers all aspects of the analytical and clinical development of veterinary vaccines and biological products for their registration (production, quality control, validations, pre-clinical studies, clinical safety and efficacy, product claims). Thierry covers also the preparation of regulatory dossiers for the first registration or any variation post-licensing.
He frequently provides advice and services to research laboratories, start-ups and animal health companies located on several continents. Thierry provides also support to governmental and non-governmental organisations funding the development of biological products against veterinary diseases prevalent in LMIC. He is also a reviewer for the European Commission within the HORIZON funding programme.
Thierry brought to his Consultancy over 20 years' experience of the veterinary vaccine industry for major international pharmaceutical Companies in Belgium and UK, providing full technical development and registration guidance for vaccines destined to most animal species. During this time, Thierry regularly produced regulatory and technical gap analysis reviews, wrote critical reports and registration dossiers, managed regulatory procedures and answered their technical list of questions. He was an active member of the Biological Working Party of the International Federation of Animal Health Industries (IFAH, now HealthForAnimals) for 16 years, directly influencing the EU and international veterinary vaccines technical and regulatory legislation.
Prior to his career in the industry, Thierry worked for a few years in a Research Institute as a scientist developing live vector vaccines for veterinary use.
Thierry is a molecular biologist by training. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences, a Master Degree in Biomedical Technology and a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, all granted by the University of Louvain in Belgium. He is bilingual English & French, fluent in Portuguese and actively perfects his Spanish language skills.
